So, my name is Pita and I’m the one who will be providing you the coaching and helping you to become a better, fitter, faster runner.
I first caught the running bug back in 2010, when I set out to train for the Bupa Great Manchester Run 10k. Soon afterwards I joined my local running club – and duly developed a fondness for muddy trail and fells. One of the most significant milestones in my personal journey was becoming a fully qualified running fitness coach.
I was keen to learn and to pass on my thoughts to those that asked for them, so it was the next logical step for me. I also have my leadership in fell running qualification. I’ve also become very active in my local running community – and set up Cuerden Valley parkrun in August 2013. We’re very proud to have seen our parkrun family grow from around 50 to 60 runners coming in the first few weeks to an average of around 200 now. We’re delighted to have been given the title of “Lancashire Tough” by parkrun UK, after a couple of their staff came to run the course.
Right now I’m in my third year of coaching and to date have coached over a dozen different people. I’ve helped them achieve specific targets and goals that they set themselves as well as helping to improve their overall fitness and lifestyle. I’m more than competent when it comes to training people of different abilities too, as I’ve coached both beginners and what I like to call event athletes. Hopefully I can help you.
